Wanted homicide suspect Isaiah Burr, 22, was returned to Nashville yesterday after being taken into custody in Kentucky days after the March 19, 2022 shooting of Chanya Sherill, 20, on Dickerson Pike.
Sherill crashed into the Bank of America in her 2014 Chevrolet Cruz and was found lying on the ground outside the driver’s seat. The investigation revealed Sherill met Burr on a dating app where he allegedly contacted women as a part of a robbery scheme.
At the time of his arrest at his mother’s home in Hopkinsville, Burr had outstanding warrants in Indiana and Kentucky.
Burr’s warrant was upgraded to criminal homicide following Sherill’s death on April 2, 2022.
He is now jailed without bond.
