Anya Bender
Tenprint Unit SupervisorBeginning her tenure in 2001, Anya Bender was assigned to the Identification Section of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.
Anya obtained her undergraduate degree from Southern New Hampshire University and her master's degree in clinical mental health from the University of Tennessee at Martin. Additionally, she holds a bachelor's degree in psychology.
Anya coordinates all responsibilities pertaining to the Identification and Administrative Section, including a variety of clerical and technical tasks, in her current capacity as the Evidence Receiving Supervisor, Tenprint Unit. The division is tasked with the administrative management of MNPD criminal records, including the acceptance and database maintenance of fingerprints submitted by juvenile detention and the Davidson County Sheriff's Office via the Automated Fingerprint Identification System. Additionally, it provides fingerprinting services to the general public.
Anya is an individual who holds membership in both the local Tennessee Division of the International Association for Identification and the International Association for Identification.
