Forty-two police officer trainees, who have been in the MNPD Academy since August 16, 2019, will graduate as new Nashville police officers in a 6 p.m. ceremony Thursday night at First Baptist Church Joelton, 7106 Whites Creek Pike.
Citizens are invited to attend the ceremony, which will include remarks to the graduates from Mayor John Cooper and Chief Steve Anderson.
The graduates will spend the next 5 to 6 months rotating among the department’s 8 precincts and riding with Field Training Officers before policing on their own.
