Outstanding work by Central Precinct bike patrol officers led to the arrest of Christopher Jones, 24, of Antioch, after he was found parking a BMW vehicle into a residents only garage Friday. Management informed officers Jones’ vehicle could not park in the space and as officers approached the BMW there was a strong odor of marijuana.
During a subsequent search of the BMW, officers found three loaded firearms, none listed as stolen, and multiple types of narcotics, including marijuana, mushrooms and 60 oxycodone pills. The pills are being tested at the MNPD crime lab for fentanyl.
Jones has a prior domestic violence conviction, prohibiting him from possessing a firearm. He was arrested and charged with three counts of felony weapon possession, three counts of weapon possession with a DV conviction, and three counts of drug possession.
He is free on $22,000 bond.
