Midtown Hills Precinct Investigations and Community Engagement Team officers are working together to combat a recent rash of robberies targeting Hispanic persons primarily in the following four apartment complexes:
- Audubon Park Apartments, 600 Whispering Hills Drive;
- Stonebrook Apartments, 121 Hickory Trace Drive;
- Bradford Woods Apartments, 5242 Edmondson Pike;
- The Flats of Nolensville, 5319 Nolensville Pike.
In these cases, 1-4 masked gunmen enter the victims’ apartments at night through the back sliding glass doors, which are frequently unlocked. The persons inside the apartments are then robbed at gunpoint. Several victims have also been pistol whipped.
Two of these robberies, which are believed to be related, both occurred last night at the Bradford Wood Apartments on Edmondson Pike. There were a total of 16 victims in two separate apartments. The suspects are described as black men wearing all black clothing and ski masks.
Last weekend, Midtown Hills Precinct Community Engagement officers, joined by Spanish speaking officers South Precinct El Protector Sergeant Rafael Fernandez and Officer Brenda Navarro, South Precinct Officer Shelby Hughes, and Midtown Hills Precinct Officer Citlaly Gomez, visited several apartment complexes. They distributed wooden strips with 911 painted on them for residents to use in securing their sliding glass doors. Officers also handed out bilingual information pamphlets with safety tips.
Anyone with information about the suspected armed robbers is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
