Homicide Unit detectives are investigating this morning’s fatal shooting of Uriel Miller, 26, who is believed to have been shot while driving on I-40 East in his Ford Crown Victoria. Detectives responded to a reported shooting when Miller was discovered in the driver’s seat of the Ford, that was up against the cement barrier that divides eastbound and westbound lanes, with a single gunshot wound to his shoulder.
The front passenger window appeared to have been shot out. The rear driver’s side window also had a bullet defect.
A gun was recovered from Miller’s driver’s side door.
The motive remains under investigation.
