Madison Precinct detectives need the community’s assistance in identifying the man who took part in rushing and robbing two women of their purses as they returned to their car from a South Gallatin Pike grocery store on the night of July 15.
Surveillance cameras show that the robber and two female accomplices were in the parking lot watching from a small maroon Toyota sedan as the two victims, ages 35 and 41, got out of their car and headed to the store. The man also walked inside, presumably to get a closer look at the victims and their purses. He then returned to the parking lot.
Twenty-five minutes later, when the victims walked to their car, they were rushed and robbed by the man and his female accomplices. The robbers then fled in the Toyota.
Anyone recognizing the male robbery suspect from the attached surveillance photos is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
