Central Precinct detectives are working to identify the driver who on January 15th fired shots from a black Dodge Ram TRX truck towards a family in a Dodge Durango on I-40 West near Demonbreun Street.
The family noticed the truck, which had a white tailgate and bumper, following them before the suspect pulled in front of them, reversed, and intentionally struck the driver’s side of the Durango. The victims said the driver, described as a black man with braids, drove a short distance away and fired several rounds towards the victims as they fled on an off ramp.
The gunfire did not strike them or their vehicle. The motive for the gunfire is unknown at this time.
