Detectives are working to identify the gunman who on July 4 shot a man after an argument in an apartment complex parking lot at 108 Thompson Lane.
According to a witness, two groups of people were gathered in the parking lot at 1:30 a.m. when an argument broke out and turned physical. The suspect pulled out a gun during the altercation and fired into the air, causing the 19-year-old victim to run to his vehicle. The suspect then got into his car and as he drove by the victim, fired several shots. The teen was struck at least twice. He sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect is a Hispanic man who appears to be in his late 20s or early 30s. He is approximately 5’7” tall with a medium build. He fled in a 2002 Ford Focus with a sanded paint job. The car’s rear back window appears to have been taped up.
Anyone who recognizes him or the suspect vehicle is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
