Update: One of the three suspects involved in the shots fired towards a Demonbreun Street garage security guard last month was identified as Marquise Deon Johnson, 18. He was arrested Tuesday afternoon on an outstanding aggravated assault warrant. Johnson is currently jailed on $100,000 bond. The investigation into the two outstanding suspects is ongoing. Central Precinct detectives are working to identify three suspects that shot at a security guard after they were confronted while breaking into cars in a downtown parking garage.
The three male suspects (seen in the attached surveillance video) entered the Demonbreun Street garage at 1:45 a.m. on May 20 and began breaking into several vehicles. The licensed, armed security guard was making his rounds when he heard the noise and approached the suspects.
The suspects fled into a stairwell, and one fired shots towards the guard as he ran.
The guard was not injured.
