The driver critically injured Sunday just before midnight in a two-vehicle crash on Bell Road near Harris Hills Lane has died.
The preliminary investigation shows that Deborah Oladele, 23, was driving her 2017 Honda Accord west on Bell Road when, for reasons unknown, she lost control of the car striking a curb and traveling over the sidewalk. She appears to have over corrected, causing her to cross over the westbound lanes of travel into oncoming traffic where she was broadsided by the driver of an eastbound Acura sedan. Oladele was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Toxicology testing will be conducted on Oladele to determine whether impairment was a factor in this fatal crash.
