East Precinct detectives are searching for subjects involved in a shootout at the Z-Mart, 803 Dickerson Pike, just after midnight Wednesday. One person with a mask driving a Toyota Corolla with Alabama tags pointed a handgun at another man with braided hair and a “Smashville” shirt inside the market.
When the masked subject exited the store following the confrontation, the person wearing the “Smashville” shirt is believed to have shot at him. While neither party appears to have been struck by bullets, there was property damage.
The masked person fled on Dickerson Pike in the Toyota while the “Smashville” shirt subject and another man fled in what’s believed to be a Dodge Journey. The subject in the multicolor shirt is the person detectives believe shot at the masked person as he exited the store.
All three persons inside the store at the time of the shooting are wanted for questioning at this time.
