East Precinct detectives are working to identify a female suspect who, on the afternoon of November 24, robbed a 74-year-old woman of her wallet while she was shopping inside the Kroger on Gallatin Pike and went directly to self-checkout to purchase more than $1,500 in gift cards.
The woman, seen in attached surveillance footage, acted as if she was helping the victim when she snatched her wallet. The suspect was wearing a Walmart employee vest, has a distinct tattoo on her right hand and partially red dreads. She left in a dark-colored sedan.
The same woman is suspected of committing a similar theft in 2022 at the Nolensville Pike Kroger where the victim’s stolen credit cards were used to purchase more than $1,500 in gift cards (photos attached).
Anyone with information on this woman is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
