The police department’s continuing initiative to identify persons taking part in dangerous street racer stunts and intersection takeovers has led to the arrest of Cesar Sandoval, 20, on a charge of felony reckless endangerment for being involved as a driver/slider in a May 2023 takeover of the Nolensville Pike-Elysian Fields Road intersection. Sandoval was taken into custody by Murfreesboro Police Friday and then transferred to Nashville.
Sandoval is alleged to have recklessly driven his car in the intersection while a pedestrian/spectator chased after him and other pedestrians watched in a “pit” area. Sandoval was found to operate a social media account that features posts of intersection takeovers and other street racer activity. He is the 45th person to be arrested for street racing since March 2023.
