The man alleged to have caused havoc in the parking lot of the McDonald’s restaurant at 2212 Nolensville Pike on the night of April 17 by committing an armed carjacking and a shooting is now jailed on multiple felonies.
Ontario Graham, 23, of Dew Street, is charged with attempted murder, carjacking, attempted carjacking, aggravated assault, and gun crimes for his actions that night. He is being held in lieu of $283,500 bond.
The series of events on April 17 began just after 10:30 p.m. when the first victim, a 41-year-old man, was in the drive thru line. He was approached on the driver’s side of his car by a gunman, subsequently identified as Graham, who attempted to carjack him. As the victim attempted to flee, he was shot once in the face. The victim circled the McDonald’s parking lot three times in a panic. As he did, he saw the gunman confronting a woman in her car parked in the McDonald’s lot. The victim drove his vehicle at the individual, believing the woman to be in imminent danger. His car collided with the Nissan Cube, causing significant damage to the driver door area. The gunman was knocked off his feet. He got up, forcibly removed the 39-year-old woman from the Cube, got into the car and fled. The woman was uninjured. The first victim was taken to Vanderbilt for treatment. The Nissan Cube was recovered on April 18 on Louise Drive.
Today, East Precinct officers were dispatched to S. 6th Street and Shelby Avenue for reports of an individual (Graham) riding a stolen electric bicycle. Graham unsuccessfully attempted to evade the officers and was taken into custody on the outstanding warrants.
