Specialized Investigations Division (SID) detectives today arrested Jamerius Rhodes, 19, for the December 23rd nighttime fatal shooting of Mack Lewis Page, 20, on Pennington Avenue.
Page was found deceased on Christmas Eve morning behind the wheel of an SUV that had come to a stop on the side of the road. The investigation shows that Rhodes and Page were texting with each other around the time of the fatal shooting. Homicide Unit and SID detectives worked together to identify Rhodes as the suspect. During an interview at police headquarters this afternoon, he admitted to shooting Page.
A judicial commissioner ordered that Rhodes be held without bond on a charge of criminal homicide.
