Homicide detectives today arrested and charged Jack Becker, 26, with criminal homicide for last Friday morning’s fatal shooting of his girlfriend, Autumn Joiner, 30, inside their apartment on Hillmeade Court.
Becker called 911 to report that Joiner had shot herself in the head while they were in bed. He later changed his story and said that his finger slipped into the trigger guard of a pistol causing it to discharge. Evidence and investigation by Detective Adam Reese conflicts with Becker’s version of events and shows that the victim was unhappy living with him.
Becker is jailed in lieu of $500,000 bond.
