Quick response by Central Precinct officers to a rash of early Monday morning business burglaries led to the arrest of Michael Ezell, 25, who is charged in the following break-ins that all occurred within an hour of each other beginning at 2:30 a.m.:
- Metro Wine and Spirits, 401 Church Street;
- Downtown Nashville Wine and Spirits, 105 2nd Avenue North;

Responding officers reviewed surveillance footage from the Church Street/4th Avenue South area and got a good suspect description. Further investigation resulted in Ezell being located on Hermitage Avenue. He ran but was quickly apprehended. Ezell had approximately $2,000 cash in his backpack. Ezell was in possession of keys to each store and admitted to the burglaries. All of the businesses are owned by the same company where Ezell has been employed since June. He is charged with six counts of burglary and is being held in lieu of $90,000 bond.
