Detectives have sworn out an arrest warrant charging Deandre L. Robinson, 32, with facilitation of aggravated robbery in connection with Tuesday afternoon’s attack on a 91-year-old woman in the parking lot of Truist Bank at 7185 Whites Creek Pike.
The victim was walking back to her vehicle after making a transaction at the bank when she was approached by two masked and armed individuals. She began to run. They chased her and pushed her to the ground before taking her money. They then fled in a black four-door sedan.
The investigation shows that the robbers arrived in the bank parking lot at 1:40 p.m. Robinson entered at 1:41 p.m., while the victim was conducting her transaction. Robinson stood at the door for a moment before going to the counter and taking some brochures. He then left the bank and paused by the suspects’ vehicle before walking away. As the victim came outside, the two robbers got out of the car and approached her.
Two hours before this robbery, there was a similar one at a Truist Bank branch in Brentwood in Williamson County. A man subsequently identified as Robinson and the same black four-door sedan were seen at that location. The joint investigation with Brentwood Police led to Robinson’s arrest on Putnam Drive in Nashville. As officers went to take him into custody, Robinson tossed a pistol, which was reported stolen in a February 2022 vehicle burglary at a motel parking garage on Cleghorn Avenue.
Robinson is presently in the Williamson County Jail in connection with the Brentwood robbery case. He will be booked in the near future on the Nashville facilitation of aggravated robbery charge and a separate count of gun theft.
The investigation to identify the two other suspects is continuing.
