More than 40,000 football fans will be heading to Nissan Stadium Monday for the 27th annual TransPerfect Music City Bowl, this year featuring Missouri and Iowa. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Nissan Stadium parking lots will open at 10 a.m. for fans with parking passes. All on-campus parking for this game is sold out.
Bag Restrictions
Those attending this game are reminded that the National Football League's restrictions on what can be brought into stadiums are strictly enforced for all events at Nissan Stadium, including college games. No backpacks, duffel bags, etc., are permitted inside the stadium. For ladies, anything larger than a clutch-style purse must be a clear plastic bag, medical items excluded.
Battle of the Bands
The marching bands from Missouri and Iowa will take part in a Battle of the Bands event Sunday beginning at 7 p.m. on Broadway between 1st and 2nd Avenues. Broadway from 1st to 3rd Avenues will be closed.
If You See Something, Say Something
Dozens of MNPD officers will be downtown and visible on Sunday and around Nissan Stadium on Monday. Please be vigilant. If you see something suspicious or concerning, please say something to a nearby police officer or security guard.
