Homicide Unit detectives obtained an arrest warrant today charging Tyrone Harris, 73, for the November 7 murder of Bruce Woodland, 60, outside a home on Combs Drive. Harris was identified as the guest Woodland had a possible altercation with prior to the fatal shooting.
Harris proceeded to steal the homeowner’s vehicle to leave the scene. He was found last Thursday in that vehicle in Christian County, Kentucky where he was arrested on vehicle theft and other local charges.
During a recorded phone call in jail, Harris admitted to shooting Woodland.
He will be returned to Nashville in the near future.
