An arrest warrant has just been issued charging Adonis D. Washington, 22, with attempted criminal homicide for Tuesday morning’s shooting of a 31-year-old man on 3rd Avenue South at Molloy Street downtown. The shooting is believed to have stemmed from an argument over money the victim allegedly owed.
The victim was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he underwent surgery. He is now in stable condition.
Washington, who is homeless, is considered to be armed. Anyone seeing him or knowing his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
