After 22 months of investigation into the February 23, 2022 fatal shooting of Clarksville resident Julio Delima, 38, in the 3300 block of Ezell Road, two men are now in custody on a first-degree murder indictment.
Hugo Rosales-Aguilar, 23, was taken into custody today by Specialized Investigations Division detectives at a Packard Drive apartment complex. He is the alleged shooter in this case. His co-defendant, Josue Flores-Mercado, 20, is alleged to have been with Rosales-Aguilar when the murder occurred. Flores-Mercado was in jail on an unrelated robbery case at the time the murder indictment was returned.
The investigation, led by Homicide Unit Detective Al Thompson, shows that Delima was in a Nissan Altima when his car came under fire from a passenger in another vehicle. The motive is believed to be related to a dispute over a woman.
Bond for each defendant is set at $200,000.
