Two male students, including a 12-year-old, were arrested today in the following unrelated threat cases:
- 18-year-old Hunters Lane High School student, Dorrian Harp, admitted to telling another student in his class on Tuesday that he would shoot up the school the next day. SROs went to Harp's last known address yesterday, but it was vacant. Harp and his parents met at Madison Precinct today where he was arrested after admitted to making the threat. He was charged with making a threat of mass violence and is currently being held on $100,000 bond.
- The 12-year-old Intrepid College Prep student is alleged to have threatened to kill a group of students and was suspended. When he returned to school, he texted another student threatening to shoot him as well as send a video of a gun. He was charged in Juvenile Court with making a threat of mass violence and false report.
Threats against schools and institutions are taken very seriously by the MNPD. Those responsible, once identified, will be prosecuted.
