Convicted felon DeAngelo Miller, 30, is jailed after a vehicle stop yesterday led to the recovery of cocaine, fentanyl, meth, Xanax, and a pistol.
Specialized Investigations Division detectives, who had been investigating Miller’s possible involvement in a non-fatal shooting incident that occurred last March, saw him enter a vehicle despite having a suspended driver’s license. When they attempted to pull him over, he drove off before fleeing on foot.
Detectives apprehended Miller who had thrown a satchel while running from officers. The bag contained multiple separately wrapped baggies with narcotics including 49.4 grams of cocaine, 34.2 grams of fentanyl, 30.1 grams of meth, and 16.8 grams of Xanax. A Glock semi-automatic pistol was recovered from the vehicle.
Miller is currently charged with felon in possession of a gun, weapon possession during the commission of a felony, evading arrest, and felony drug possession. Miller is jailed on $137,500 bond. He has prior convictions in Davidson and Williamson Counties for aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary.
The investigation continues into Miller’s suspected involvement in other criminal activity. Additional charges are possible.
