As outlined in Nashville’s Vision Zero Implementation Plan, the Vision Zero Advisory Committee is an 15-member group that will meet monthly to collaborate with the Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT) on various Vision Zero efforts.
The intent of this group is to have representation from a variety of community sectors including healthcare, law, development, education, advocacy, and community members. The advisory committee will assist in providing feedback to NDOT on its approach to implementation of the Vision Zero plan via the Five E’s: Engineering, Evaluation, Education, Encouragement, and Enforcement.
This could include reviewing crash data and crash reports, providing comments on project initiations, safety audit reports, and construction projects, assisting in educational messaging and awareness campaigns, and collaborating on new or updated policies and procedures.
In collaboration with the advisory committee, NDOT will schedule meetings that the majority of the group can attend. All meeting will be in-person, during the work week.
The deadline to apply is Friday, October 31, 2024.
