The Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT) Licensed Entertainment Transportation Vehicles that request alternative routes to previously approved routes will need to submit the following for review:
- A description or photo of the ETV vehicle(s). If there are differing vehicle sizes, only data on the largest vehicle is necessary;
- A map or sketch of the proposed routes with turning movements clearly identified;
- A listing of street names for public streets along the route;
- Times and days proposed for vehicle operations.
The traffic engineering review will determine the appropriate design vehicle and whether the route includes any street containing Schedule IX vehicle size restrictions in the Metro traffic schedule that could result in operational issues on the proposed route.
Applications should be submitted to Transportation Licensing Commission Director Richard Rooker and copy the Transportation Licensing Commission Staff.
Note: WeGo Transit was consulted on urban locations known to have geometric or other alignment challenges for their bus vehicles. Licensed Entertainment Transportation Vehicle (ETV) routes for bus vehicles or trailered vehicles should avoid any turning movements to or from Church Street between 1st Ave N and Rosa Parks Blvd; and at the intersection of Demonbreun St and S 12th St.
