Antioch Pike Streetscape Project

This project includes the installation of six concrete islands with landscaping from Haywood Lane to Franklin Limestone Road, and a neighborhood sign at the corner of Antioch Pike and Haywood Lane.

Progress and Look Ahead

All five islands are complete which includes the landscaping work.

The neighborhood sign will be constructed once the easement documents have been finalized.

Completed Activities

• Construction signage installed.
• Notifications/Door hangers distributed.
• Layout work completed.
• Message boards installed.
• Began sawcutting asphalt.
• Island 1: Curbs completed and back fill completed, underdrains installed, topsoil placed.
• Island 2: Curbs completed and back fill completed, underdrains installed, topsoil placed.
• Island 3: Curbs completed and back fill completed, underdrains installed, topsoil placed.
• Island 4: Curbs completed and back fill completed, underdrains installed, topsoil placed.
• Island 5: Curbs completed and back fill completed, underdrains installed, topsoil placed.
• Asphalt repairs around islands 4 and 5.

Project Timeline

Note: Estimated timeline dates are subject to change based on most current projected schedules from multiple vendors and departments.

• Contract fully executed: March 9, 2022.
• Purchase Order issued: June 30, 2022.
• Pre-Construction meeting held: July 28, 2022.
• Construction start: August 2022.
• Island construction: September and October 2022.
• Landscaping installation: October and November 2022.
• Sign installation: October and November 2022.
• Milling and paving: November and December 2022 (weather dependent).
