Marcus Fortney, 35, was arrested yesterday on multiple charges related to his involvement in the June 17 fatal crash that killed motorcyclist Kyle Holleran, 28. Holleran lost control of his Harley Davidson in the 4500 block of Nolensville Pike last summer and crashed into a concrete wall.
Further investigation conducted by the MNPD Traffic Unit identified Fortney as the driver of a Ford Mustang that was seen drag racing at nearly 80 miles per hour with the motorcycle just prior to the crash.
He was convicted in Davidson County for driving under the influence in 2022 and his Mississippi driver’s license is currently suspended.
Fortney is charged with drag racing with serious bodily injury, reckless driving, driving on a revoked license and failure to yield resulting in a death. He is currently out on $26,000 bond.
