Specialized Investigations Division detectives this afternoon arrested Patrick G. Cathey, 31, the suspected shooter in the February 14 murder of Steven Yates, 34, at a candle company on Old Franklin Road where Yates was employed. Cathey was located and taken into custody in Coopertown (Robertson County). He is being booked now on a charge of criminal homicide.
The investigation shows that Yates was targeted for a drug-related robbery and fatally shot after he went to the parking lot and met Cathey and co-defendant Nicole Tishma, 37. Tishma was arrested on February 20th in Oak Grove, Kentucky, where she is being held as a fugitive. Her return to Nashville to face a criminal homicide charge is pending.
