A 17-year-old is being charged at Juvenile Court with multiple counts of attempted criminal homicide for opening fire on a vehicle in Antioch Park on Blue Hole Road at 5 a.m. today, wounding his two sisters, ages 12 and 13, non-critically.
The first police call originated from Southern Hills Medical Center after the two victims arrived there by private vehicle.
The investigation, by Youth Services detectives, shows that there were seven persons inside the vehicle when the shots were fired. The 17-year-old arrived at the hospital after learning that his sisters were wounded. He admitted to shooting at the car, saying that he thought it had been involved in local vehicle burglaries. He said he did not know his sisters were in the car.
The investigation is continuing.
