Specialized Investigations Division detectives arrested Keion Kendrick, 43, this afternoon after he was identified as the gunman responsible for the February 24th non-lethal shooting of a man on Fain Street. Kendrick was arrested on Battle Road in Murfreesboro by TITANS Unit detectives and, during a subsequent interview, admitted to his involvement in the shooting that injured the 34-year-old victim.
The 34-year-old man said he was on Fain Street when he heard gunshots from behind him and realized he was shot multiple times in the leg. The suspect, who he later identified as Kendrick, approached him asking for money before pistol whipping him and running off.
Kendrick was convicted of especially aggravated burglary and two counts of attempted second degree murder in 2007, and especially aggravated robbery in 2008.
He is charged tonight with especially aggravated robbery and being a felon in possession of a weapon.
