Update: Myiesha Mayes was arrested in LaVergne last night and booked on her outstanding warrants. She is currently jailed on $100,000 bond. Efforts to locate her sister, Melissa, are ongoing.
In a continuing effort to apprehend those responsible for organized retail crime and shoplifting in Nashville, detectives are working to locate two sisters believed to have stolen thousands of dollars worth of products over the last six months from various shopping centers.
Myiesha Mayes, 28, is currently wanted on 13 outstanding theft warrants. She’s been allegedly frequenting Sephora locations, at Fifth and Broadway as well as Opry Mills, taking several thousand dollars in merchandise each time.
One incident from June 2 involved Myiesha and her brother, Michael Mayes, 26, allegedly stealing several pairs of designer sunglasses from the Green Hills Mall Sunglass Hut. Michael was arrested on June 19 for theft, vandalism and burglary charges as well as for stealing lottery tickets. He is currently jailed on $60,000 bond.
Melissa Mayes, 25, is currently wanted on six outstanding theft warrants related to her involvement in similar incidents at stores within Fifth and Broadway, Opry Mills and Green Hills Mall.

There have been 168 felony warrants and 269 misdemeanor warrants obtained since an initiative to address organized retail crime began March 20.
