Community Crimes detectives have arrested a dozen teenagers from five Nashville high schools on charges of felony vandalism and aggravated criminal trespassing in connection with a large underage party at an empty home for sale on Riverside Drive in East Nashville on the night of February 28.
The homeowner, who arrived shortly after neighbors called and told him of the party and persons crawling in and out of the windows, recorded cell phone video of several teens, which detectives used to identify the 12. There is also evidence from video posts to social media by partygoers.
Damage to the walls and cabinets, alcohol-soaked floors, and light fixtures ripped from the ceiling carry a repair estimate of approximately $16,000.
Those arrested and charged at Juvenile Court include four 17-year-olds, five 16-year-olds, and three 15-year-olds. At least one more arrest is expected.
