Homicide Unit detectives are working to identify a group of people wanted for questioning in the June 8, 2024 shooting in the Walgreens parking lot, 2819 Nolensville Pike, that later resulted in the death of Clarence Roach, 74.
Surveillance footage from that afternoon shows Roach had an interaction with the suspect in the suspect's dark colored sedan before the suspect followed Roach into his vehicle where he was shot once.
Three people (seen in surveillance photos) were inside the store at the time of the shooting, but got into the suspect's sedan before fleeing west on Thompson Lane.
During an interview with Non-Lethal Shooting Unit detectives, Roach said he did not know the suspect, but described him as a man in his 20's.
Roach was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was released on July 10, but days later was hospitalized again and died as a result of complications from the gunshot wound.
Anyone with information on the identities of the persons shown in surveillance photos, the sedan or the gunman responsible is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
