Specialized Investigations Division detectives tonight arrested Charles Maguire, 49, on warrants charging him with vandalizing the Nashville Public Library’s Green Hills branch on December 14 by spray painting a swastika on the glass front door, and leaving harassing telephone voicemails to Green Hills Community Church on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and December 30.
Maguire had been told to leave the library prior to the vandalism, and he has a history of harassing/threatening behavior toward the church.
Maguire was arrested on November 30 for leaving harassing messages directed at the church, and two counts of vandalism against the Mental Health Cooperative for pouring a bottle of apparent urine through a window slot. He posted a $3,000 bond on those charges and was released.
A judicial commissioner tonight set his bond at $2,000 on the new warrants.
