Anthony L. Brooks, 23, is charged with criminal homicide for Sunday’s 2:15 p.m. shooting in a courtyard at the Cumberland View apartments on 25th Avenue North that claimed 17-year-old Ebonique Farris.
Farris was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died. Brooks surrendered himself to police at the scene and his gun was recovered. During an interview, Brooks admitted to shooting Farris during a verbal argument.
