After many months of development, the MNPD today launched a special website dedicated to victims of cold case homicides and open missing person investigations that span from the mid-1960s to 2020.
The website entries, many of them with photographs, provide detail of the cases/investigations with the hope that persons in our community, even years to decades later, might come forward with information that could give detectives fresh leads and, ultimately, answers for victims’ families.
“Detective teams over the past 50 to 60 years have worked diligently on these cases, which, unfortunately, hit a standstill due to lack of witness information and investigative leads,” Chief John Drake said. “It is my hope that the constant availability of cold case details through the Internet will jog memories and lead to additional progress.”
