A 15-year-old Bass Learning Center student was arrested this afternoon after he robbed another student at the nearby bus stop upon dismissal from school. The teenage suspect, Brandon Jennings, is alleged to have pointed a handgun at the 16-year-old victim and demanded his money.
The 16-year-old went back to Bass Learning Center where he alerted school staff. Staff located Jennings near the bus stop on 51st Avenue North and brought him back to the school where they found he was in possession of a loaded handgun and marijuana.
Rapid School Safety Team members took Jennings into custody. He is charged in Juvenile Court with aggravated robbery among other charges.
