Update: Roderick Orr, 37, was arrested in South Nashville overnight for the murder of Ralos Jones Jr. on Monday morning. Orr had two 9MM handguns, 34 grams of marijuana, 191 methamphetamine pills, 2 grams of methamphetamines, and $443 cash on him at the time of his arrest. He has been charged with criminal homicide, possession of a weapon during a dangerous drug felony, and other drug-related charges.
Homicide Unit detectives are pursuing strong leads in the fatal shooting of Ralos Jones Jr., 29, Monday morning on 11th Avenue South. Jones was involved in a suspected drug deal when he was shot in the Edgehill neighborhood.
Jones was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
