Today (July 19, 2024),the Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT) met with consultants, who provided acquired field survey information for further determinations on formal plan development. More field information is needed, and you may notice field activities as surveying continues over the next several days.
Regarding the survey, due to the age of the infrastructure (railroad, roadway, etc.) in the area and limited records, if any property owners have property boundary surveys for properties that front River Trace, the department would greatly appreciate it if they could be shared with us. This information will be important to coordinate property access agreements for the repair work.
The department has a follow-up meeting with surveyors and consultants during the week of July 29 and will send an update with the latest information after that.
We continue to ask that you report any experienced or observed conditions of concern to Metro’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) for NDOT’s notification and response. OEM operates 24/7 and can be reached by email at [email protected] or by phone at 615-862-8530. Contacting OEM is the most expedient way of notifying NDOT of needed action.
Additionally, NDOT has established another way for community members to receive updates: subscribe to receive future River Trace updates.
We know this incident has been inconvenient, and we truly appreciate your patience as we continue to work on solutions.
