The Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT) is continuing efforts toward reestablishing safe and reliable transportation on River Trace.
As mitigation plans continue to develop, NDOT Personnel perform regular site visits to evaluate roadway and site condition status and to ensure that integrated traffic control measures are functional and in proper placement.
To further enhance development of mitigation plans, we are commissioning additional Geotech resources that are utilized by the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) across Tennessee on similar projects involving exposed rockface stability. NDOT has a meeting scheduled with our contractor and other engineering partners on August 7, 2024. We will be sending additional updates before the end of next week.
We want to continue to ask that you report any experienced or observed conditions of concern to Metro’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) for NDOT’s notification and response. OEM operates 24/7 and can be reached by email at [email protected] or by phone at 615-862-8530. Contacting OEM is the most expedient way of notifying NDOT of needed action.
Detour Information
Local residential traffic is still able to access the roadway. People biking should use Ashland City Highway/Tennessee highway 12 as an alternative route.
