The Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT) has developed a Phase 1 action plan to mitigate the ongoing rockslide along River Trace. Phase 1 is a 0.95 mile project and will begin where River Trace turns north towards Ashland City Highway and end at 5750 River Trace. In order to advance this project, NDOT may be requesting a right of entry in order to access the top of the cliff. No work is intended to be within private property.

Next Steps
NDOT is working with Council Member Joy Kimbrough to set up a community meeting in early December to present the material included in this update as well as answer any questions from the community. Please note that NDOT continues to monitor the site on a weekly basis, ensuring traffic control measures are in place and checking for any signs of further rockface instability.
If you experience or observe any concerning conditions, contact Metro’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) directly. OEM operates 24/7 and can be reached by email at [email protected] or by phone at 615-862-8530. This is the fastest way to notify NDOT of any issues requiring immediate attention.
